Qld: Beattie wins third term

BRISBANE, Feb 7 AAP - Queensland Premier Peter Beattie tonight won a third term of
government but looked set to lose up to eight seats.
The ALP was struggling in the key north Queensland seats of Barron River, Mulgrave
and Cairns, where cane growers have been battling under a combination of falling sugar
prices and poor weather.
